The government today approved in principle drafts of two acts for establishing two medical universities in Rajshahi and Chittagong in a bid to create more specialised doctors.

The cabinet gave approval to the drafts of Chittagong Medical University Act-2015 and Rajshahi Medical University Act-2015.

The approval came at the weekly cabinet meeting at Secretariat chaired by the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, said cabinet Secretary Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan.

The government is going to establish the medical universities for post graduation study, Bhuiyan told reporters after the meeting.
