Rains likely in M’singh, Sylhet; heat wave persists in Dhaka, other places

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has predicted rains in parts of the country in the next 72 hours.
"Rain/thunder showers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind is likely at one or two places over Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions," said a bulletin of BMD today.
The weather may remain dry with a temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country, it added.
In its outlook for the next five days starting on Saturday, the Met office stated that there may be an increase in rain and thunder shower activity over the Mymensingh, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions.
Mild heat wave is sweeping over Rajshahi, Pabna, Naogaon, Nilphamari, Jashore, Dhaka, Faridpur and Rangamati and it may continue.
Day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
