Vijay Sethupathi unveils poster for 50th film 'Maharaja'

Vijay Sethupathi's 50th feature film has been titled "Maharaja". It will star filmmaker Anurag Kashyap. The film's name, along with a few other details were announced on Wednesday. The upcoming movie is being directed by Nithilan Saminathan of "Kurangu Bommai" fame.
Anurag Kashyap also shared the update on his Twitter page. "Even the darkness fears his brutal politics. Beware, he's coming!! #VJS50 Titled '#Maharaja'. Get ready to handle the toughest ones in the game. Written and directed by @Dir_Nithilan. #MakkalSelvan @VijaySethuOffl," the filmmaker-actor tweeted.
While Anurag Kashyap is primarily recognized for his directorial works like "Gangs of Wasseypur Part 1-2", "Dev.D", and "Mukkabaaz," he has also acted in films such as "Akira", "Imaikkaa Nodigal" and "AK vs AK."
According to the film's producers, filming has been completed, and the movie is currently in the final stages of post-production. Mamta Mohandas and Natty (Natraj) are also part of the film's cast.
Additionally, Vijay Sethupathi will be seen in the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer "Jawan". He recently shared a glimpse of himself practicing boxing for the film on his Instagram page. The release of "Jawan" is scheduled for September 7, 2023, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
