National Award winning actor-director-producer Sohel Rana is now doing better than before, informs his younger brother and popular actor, Masum Parvez Rubel.

"My brother has been doing better since last night," he said to The Daily Star. "I pray and hope for his speedy recovery."

The actor also asked or prayers from Sohel Rana's fans and well-wishers. "Please pray for him from heart. Only your love and blessings can bring him back," he added.

Sohel Rana was hospitalised on December 25 after having fever and a flu. He was later diagnosed with Covid.

The actor is currently under the supervision of doctors.

Veteran actor and freedom fighter Sohel Rana earned immense appreciation for his role ""Masud Rana". He has also produced Bangladesh's first Liberation War movie "Ora Egaro Jon". He has been honoured with many prestigious awards, including the lifetime achievement award from the National Film Awards, for his contribution to Bangla cinema.
