Rumours about Puja Chery and Shakib Khan pairing up for the government-granted film, "Golui", directed by S A Haque Olike, were circulating for a while. Now, the "Poraman 2" actress has confirmed the news.

 "I will be playing the role of Mala, the female lead of the film, opposite Shakib Khan," said Puja, who had to put on weight for the role.

The actress will also have a different hairstyle in "Golui", for which she has been visiting salons.

Shooting for the film has begun in Dhaka, while the Tangail schedule will kick off tomorrow.

"Golui" also stars Shuchorita, Ali Raj, and Azizul Hakim in pivotal roles.
