The movie stars Sajal Aly and Bilal Abbas Khan in the lead roles. The synopsis of the production reads, "A story inspired by true events, unfolding 50 Years of mistrust, memories, and myths."
The Nabeel Qureshi directorial will be released under the banner of Filmwala Pictures. The film is already the subject to many debates on Pakistani mainstream and social media.

Filmwala released the teaser on October 31 which started off with the narration "Why are we carrying the burden of a false accusation? Or did we also become pawns in a game initiated by our enemies?"

The teaser showcases two Pakistani generations – one who unleashed great brutalities and tortures on Bangladeshis and the younger generation, especially university students, who have been fed innumerable lies.

Sajal Aly will be seen as one of the students who embark on a journey to Dhaka to find the truth on her own.
The teaser also projects some clips from Dhaka, most of which are shot using drones. No credible sources could verify if the Pakistani artistes actually shot for the production in Dhaka.

"Khel Khel Mein" is the first Pakistani film to be screened in theatres after the pandemic. The movie is scheduled to release theatrically on November 19.
