Speaking about the story, director Rakesh Basu said, "This is not a dark-toned narrative; it centres around two families with differing mindsets living in the same apartment building."
The story begins with a middle-class man who reflects the fabric of contemporary society—someone who tries to please everyone around him. Suddenly, an incident sparks a conflict between the two families. The series 'Nonsense' explores what caused the tension and reveals the nature of that incident," he added.
According to the director, filming took place in various locations across Dhaka.
While Basu has previously directed standalone dramas for Bongo, "Nonsense" marks his debut web-series for the platform.
On this, the director commented, "This is a family-centric story. There are many elements we cannot portray in television dramas, but web-series give us that space. I believe the audience will connect with this narrative."
