One day, Kamala acquires powers, turning her into Ms. Marvel and making her like one of the heroes she admires.

It is created by Bisha K Ali, with episodes directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, Meera Menon, and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.

'Ms. Marvel' trailer breakdown
The trailer for "Ms. Marvel" sets the tone for a charming, coming-of-age drama. We get a few narrative beats, which tells us what the show will be about.
Kamala is a great stand-in for young Marvel fans in the real world. She wears a T-shirt featuring Captain Marvel, The Wasp, and Kate Bishop, and she also cosplays as her favourite superhero.

She also has very grounded problems, like homework, staving off boredom in class, communicating with her guidance counsellor, and figuring out the secret to dating cute boys.
Kamala is the MCU's first Muslim hero, and her faith is included in the show. She participates in group prayer at her Mosque in the trailer. This is also likely tied to her outsider status, as we see her correcting a classmate's mispronunciation of her name.

Kamala's power appears to come from a mysterious wrist amulet. The trailer doesn't reveal the bracelet's full nature, but in Marvel comics, her powers come from mist that unlocks supernatural genes in her. So, the show appears to have a different take.
Kamala's powers also seem to depart from the comics. The comic book Ms. Marvel is a polymorph, changing size and morphing her body parts at will. In the trailer, she creates force fields and different matter around herself. For instance, she can build an enlarging force field around her hands, or walk on floating disks in the air.

We also see what may be government agents emerging from cars, and a group of four mysterious figures stand shrouded in shadows. We will have to wait for the premiere to find out whether these characters are from from the Marvel shows and movies we know.
When is 'Ms. Marvel' coming out?
The new series is expected to release on Disney+ on June 8, 2022.
Iman Vellani is set to reprise the role of Kamala Khan in the upcoming feature film "The Marvels", which will hit theatres on February 17, 2023.
