Sadia Islam Mou is not only one of Bangladesh's most sought-after models, but a renowned dancer as well. After a long hiatus, the popular actress is back on the dance floor for a special Puja programme.

In a candid conversation with The Daily Star, the multitalented artiste spoke at length about her dreams and aspirations regarding dance, modelling, and acting.

The talented actress emphasised how Covid-19 restrictions affected the dance sector.

"Due to Covid-19 restrictions, dancers could not perform and suffer major losses due to lack of shows and projects. Not being able to perform on the stage is difficult for any artiste," mentions Mou.

"Dance is an important form of art, and it is a wonderful way to represent our country worldwide. It truly feels great to perform something that I love on an international platform," adds the actress.

She shot for a special Durga Puja dance sequence for BTV today and expressed her excitement about the programme.

"The choreography for the Puja sequence is simply breathtaking, and I really hope audiences will love the performance," said the popular actress.

From a young age, Mou fell in love with dancing and pursued it with all her heart. She dreams of taking Bangladeshi dance to greater heights.

The versatile artiste is also a well-known face in the world of modelling.

When asked how it feels like to be a well-known model to date, she replied rather modestly.

"It's really hard to answer this question as I believe other people can properly vouch for my talent better than me," stated Mou.

Although the actress is busy with modelling and dance shows, she also does various special day tele-fictions.

During last Eid, the popular actress performed in two television projects, and will soon be seen in a one-hour long tele-fiction as well.

"I do get a lot of job opportunities, it's just really hard to do tele-fictions without any special occasions," added the actress.

Mou debuted into the world of television during the 90's, and garnered appreciation from audiences. Her first tele-fiction was "Obhiman ey Onubhobe" while her first serial was "Laal Neel Beguni."
