Hanif Sanket has expressed outrage after his voice was imitated in a social media advertisement. In a detailed post on his verified Facebook page last night, the renowned cultural figure stated that he will soon pursue legal action over the matter.

He wrote, "For the past few days, I've noticed a fraudulent group using segments of my presentation from 'Ityadi' on platforms like Facebook and YouTube to promote diabetes-related advertisements via AI technology."

"No matter how refined artificial intelligence may seem, a closer listen reveals it is fake. Though the voice imitates mine, the pronunciation is clearly foreign. Despite receiving many offers, I have never taken part in any advertisement. So, please do not be misled by any AI-generated or tech-based ad using my voice's likeness — I have no involvement with them. I will soon take legal action against those committing this fraud," he added.

Sanket also voiced concern about the misuse of AI technology, "In this era of technological advancement, misuse has become so widespread that many are falling victim to digital deception."

He further explained the nature of AI, describing it as "artificial intelligence that imitates human thinking and intelligence, but its misuse is leading to increasing incidents of confusion and harassment."

Referring to recent calls from British artistes to update copyright laws to protect their work from AI threats, Sanket echoed a similar sentiment. Concluding his post, he urged policymakers to formulate clear regulations on AI to prevent its abuse.
