Actor Elijah Wood, best known for his role as Frodo Baggins in "The Lord of the Rings", has reportedly tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend, film producer Mette-Marie Kongsved. Details about the couple's marriage became public after Elijah referred to Mette-Marie as his wife during a January episode of the "Inside of You" podcast.

According to TMZ, the couple filed for a marriage license in Los Angeles County last year. The report suggests that they exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony in Sweden on New Year's Eve, attended by around 80 close friends and family members.

Elijah's casual mention of Mette-Marie as his wife in the podcast caught fans' attention. Host Michael Rosenbaum also addressed her as Elijah's wife during the conversation. On the show, Elijah said, "I'm beyond grateful for my family and my kids and my wife. Like, they are such an extension of me. They are the most important people in my life."

Elijah and Mette-Marie have been together since at least January 2018, when they first went public with their relationship. They share two children, a son and a daughter, but have kept their personal life largely out of the spotlight.

Elijah Wood, who started acting at the age of eight with a brief appearance in "Back to the Future Part II" (1989), rose to prominence with roles in "Avalon" (1990) and "The Good Son" (1993). Over the years, he starred in a variety of films, including "North" (1994), "Flipper" (1996), and "Deep Impact" (1998). His portrayal of Frodo in Peter Jackson's "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy solidified his status as a household name.

In addition to his work in film, Elijah has lent his voice to animated projects like "Happy Feet" (2006), "Tron: Uprising" (2012–2013), and "Over the Garden Wall" (2014). His versatility as an actor is evident in films like "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" (2004) and indie projects like "I Don't Feel at Home in This World Anymore" (2017).

Mette-Marie Kongsved, known for producing films such as "I Don't Feel at Home in This World Anymore" (2017), "Nine Days" (2020), and "Get Duked" (2019), has also established herself in the film industry. She was previously married to director EL Katz.
