Celebrated astrologer and lyricist Kausar Ahmed Chaudhury is currently in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a private hospital  in Dhaka.

He is suffering from various health complications, including kidney problems. He was recently diagonosed with Covid-19. He previously also suffered a stroke. 

According to his son, Protik, the astrologer is in critical condition, and required two bags of B+ blood urgently. One bag of blood was arranged for him. 

Kausar Ahmed Chaudhury has been a household figure in Bangladesh for decades for his regular horoscope readings on Ajker Rashi, Prothom Alo. 

He has written many timeless songs for some of Bangladesh's most iconic musicians, including LRB, Miles, Samina Chowdhury, Lucky Akhand, Shakila Smriti, Niaz Mohammad Chowdhury, amongst many others.
