Content creator Kafi’s house in Patuakhali set ablaze

A fire broke out at the home of content creator Nuruzzaman Kafi in Kalapara, Patuakhali. At the time of the incident, six members of his family, including his parents, were inside the house.
Earlier in the morning, Kafi alleged that the incident was a premeditated attack. According to local sources, the fire started around 1:30am today at Kafi's home in Rajpara village. A team from the Kalapara Fire Service arrived at the scene and managed to bring the blaze under control after a two-hour effort.
Kafi's father, Maulana Mohammad ABM Habibur Rahman, stated, "The door was locked from the outside before the fire was set. This was a heinous attempt to burn us alive. We demand a thorough investigation and justice. After the fire broke out, we had to break down the doors to escape. We are left with nothing, we have lost everything."
He further revealed that the fire caused an estimated loss of around Tk 50 lakh including cash and gold jewellery.
Kafi's neighbour, Wali Ullah Imran, echoed the same sentiment, saying, "This was a completely planned attack. The window latches were locked from the outside, and everyone had to flee the house with only the clothes on their backs. They barely managed to survive."
Kalapara Fire Service Station Officer Mohammad Elias Hossain said, "At around 2:15am, we received a call about a fire at Nuruzzaman Kafi's house. Upon reaching the location, we found that the flames had already spread to the ceiling."
"We did our utmost to bring the fire under control as quickly as possible and fortunately, no lives were lost. Everyone living in the house is safe and unharmed."
