Renowned singer Rashed Uddin Ahmed Topu's father, Shamshuddin Ahmed, passed away today.

The news was confirmed by the Topu on his verified Facebook page.

Shamshuddin Ahmed had served as a Lieutenant colonel of Bangladesh Army.

"He was an honest, kind-hearted, helpful and beautiful-mined person," wrote Topu. "I always wanted to be a father like my father was. He lived a complete life – please pray for him".
