K-pop sensation BTS' member Jungkook tested positive for Covid-19, after arriving in Las Vegas on March 28. The news was confirmed by their agency, Big Hit Music.

Jungkook has been diagnosed with mild sore throat and is now under self-quarantine. The popular band was scheduled to perform at the Grammys and four other concerts in Las Vegas. However, the singer's Covid-19 infection might disrupt their plans.

Big Hit Music released a statement, sharing that Jungkook's participation in the "later schedule in the United States will be determined by the local regulations on Covid-19". They are in talks with the Grammy organisers to resolve the situation.

 J-Hope, another member of BTS, was also infected with Covid-19 and is currently under home quarantine in Seoul, South Korea. BTS members RM, Jin, Suga, Jimin, and V arrived in Las Vegas on Monday while Jungkook travelled to the US a few days earlier ahead of their schedules.

The Grammys will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on April 3. BTS has been nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their track, "Butter" at the event.
