Bengal Symphony to represent Bangladesh at Osaka Expo 2025

Celebrated composer and singer Emon Chowdhury and his band Bengal Symphony are all set to represent Bangladesh at the Osaka Expo 2025, performing on the highly anticipated 'Bangladesh Country Day' scheduled for May 11.
The announcement was made by Emon Chowdhury via his official Facebook page, where he shared heartfelt words and vibrant snapshots of the band at the airport, proudly holding the national flag.
"We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to respected Mostofa Sarwar Farooki bhai, the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, the Ministry of Commerce, and the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. Please keep us in your prayers. Love to all," he wrote, reflecting gratitude.
Acclaimed filmmaker Mostofa Sarwar Farooki also took to Facebook to share the excitement, posting images of the band's instruments—guitars, drums, and sitars—adorned in colourful, intricate designs inspired by traditional Bangladeshi motifs.
"Guitar, drum, sitar—all are getting a new look! Bengal Symphony is ready to rock the audience at Osaka Expo, Japan 2025. The biggest cultural asset we have is music! We are working to project it to the world in the best possible way! Remember the show we did at UNESCO headquarters this February? We promise to make the most of every opportunity that comes our way," Farooki's post read.
