AR Rahman hospitalised due to dehydration

Oscar-winning music composer AR Rahman was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai on Saturday and is reported to be in stable condition, according to NDTV.
The music director returned from London last night and started feeling unwell, prompting him to seek a check-up. Rahman was brought to the hospital at around 7:30am, where he underwent an ECG and echocardiogram.

Doctors stated that he fell ill 5⁵due to dehydration, as he had been fasting for Ramzan. They assured that he is now out of danger and in good health. AR Ameen also shared a medical report which stated that he was discharged today after a routine checkup.
His son AR Ameen shared an update on Instagram "To all our dear fans, family, and well-wishers, I sincerely thank you for your love, prayers, and support. My father felt a bit weak due to dehydration, hence we went ahead and did some routine tests, but I'm happy to share that he is doing well now. Your kind words and blessings mean a lot to us. We truly appreciate your concern and continued support. Much love and gratitude to you all!"
An earlier report by ANI stated that all the tests conducted on Rahman showed normal results, and he is expected to be discharged today. The music maestro's team also dismissed "fake" reports that falsely claimed he was hospitalised due to chest pain.

Rahman's team clarified, "The news about heart issues is fake. He went to the hospital due to dehydration and neck pain from travel."
Last month, AR Rahman performed alongside Ed Sheeran at his concert in Chennai, and a week later, he was seen at the music launch of the film "Chaava".
