Officer in-charge (OC) of Khoksa Police Station in Kushtia ABM Mehedi Masud was closed to Kushtia Police Lines on Sunday night due to negligence of duty.

SM Tanvir Arafath, superintendent of police (SP) in Kushtia, confirmed the matter.

According to a fax message that reached Khoksa Police Station on Sunday night, the district police administration identified the OC’s negligence of duty during Khoksa upazila Awami League’s council on November 24, where a factional clash left 25 leaders and activists of the party injured.

“The OC failed to discharge his duty properly,” the fax message said.

OC (Investigation) Idrish Ali has been given the charge of OC of the police station.
