DU student Sumaiya murder case: Husband, father-in-law remanded for 3 days
The two main accused in the Dhaka University student Sumaiya Khatun murder case -- her husband Mostaq Hossain and father-in-law Zakir Hossain -- were remanded for three days today.

Natore Senior Judicial Magistrate Court Mehedi Hasan passed the order to this effect.
Inspector Abdul Matin, the investigation officer (IO) of the case, said police produced Mostaq and Zakir before the court and applied for seven days' remand. The court granted three and also rejected the bail prayers of both the accused.
Earlier on Wednesday night, Natore district police arrested Sumaiya's husband Mostaq Hossain from Bogra and father-in-law Zakir Hossain from Rajshahi.
The other two accused in the Sumaiya murder case, Mostaq's mother Syeda Maleka and sister Jui Khatun, are in jail.
Police have also made remand prayers for the duo and a court will issue an order after hearing the remand application next Sunday.
Last Sunday, Sumaiya Khatun, a meritorious student of Dhaka University, was allegedly tortured to death by her in-laws.
