Liakat Ali, in-charge of Baharchhara Police Investigation Centre, Pradip Kumar, officer-in-charge of Teknaf Police Station,  and seven others have been sued in a case filed over the death of Maj (retd) Sinha Md Rashed Khan, who was shot dead at a check-post in Cox's Bazar's Teknaf upazila on Friday.

Sinha's elder sister Sharmin Shahria Ferdous filed the case with Teknaf Senior Judicial Magistrate Court around 11:30am today.

Judge Tamanna Farah asked the OC of Teknaf Police Station to register it as a regular case.

She also asked Rapid Action Battalion to investigate the death and submit a report on the progress of investigation within seven days.
