Officers-in-charge of Bijoynagar and Nasirnagar Police Stations in Brahmanbaria have been transferred.

Md Atikur Rahman, OC of Bijoynagar Police Station was transferred to Rangpur police range while ATM Arichur Haque, OC of Nasirnagar Police Station was transferred to Barishal range police as per an order from the police headquarters tonight, reports our Brahmanbaria correspondent quoting Brahmanbaria Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration and Crime) Md Roish Uddin.

Their transfer comes two and half months after Hefajat-e-Islam activists carried out violence in Brahmanbaria on March 26 centering Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Bangladesh.
