Prof Dr Anwar Hossain has been appointed as the vice chancellor of Jessore Science and Technology University (JSTU) for the next four years.

President Abdul Hamid, also the chancellor of the university, appointed Dr Anwar as VC on Monday.

Before his current appointment, Dr Anwar was serving as professor at Microbiology Department of Dhaka University.

Dr Anwar did his PhD degree from Tokyo University in 1991.
