Former health minister Mohammed Nasim, also a presidium member of the ruling Awami League, tested positive for Covid-19 today and was admitted to Bangladesh Specialised Hospital in Dhaka's Shyamoli this evening.

"My father's test report came positive today. He has been admitted to Bangladesh Specialised Hospital in Dhaka's Shyamoli…," Nasim's son Tanvir Shakil Joy told The Daily Star. 

"If his condition deteriorates then we will shift him to the Combined Military Hospital," Tanvir added.

Mohammed Nasim is the lawmaker from Sirajganj-1 constituency in the present parliament.
