Number of Covid-19 deaths in a day continues to be over 30

Thirty-five people have died with coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said today.
The death toll now stands at 781 and the death rate at 1.36 percent, Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, additional director general (administration) of DGHS, said during a briefing.
Two thousand four hundred and twenty-three people have tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of infected has reached 57,563.
A total of 12,694 samples were tested in 50 labs across the country in the last 24 hours, Dr Nasima said.
Meanwhile, 571 Covid-19 patients have recovered since yesterday, taking the total number of recoveries to 12,161 and recovery rate to 21.13 percent, the DGHS official added.
A total of 386 people were put under isolation in the last 24 hours, she added.
Among the deceased, 29 were male and six female, she said adding that 21 were from Dhaka, nine from Chattogram, two from Sylhet, one from Rajshahi, one from Barishal and another was from Khulna division.
Of them, three were between 21-30, one between 31-40, three between 41-50, 14 within 51-60, 11 between 61-70, two 71-80 and another was 81-90 years old, Dr Nasima also said.
