Prof Kamrul Hasan Khan has been appointed the vice chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) for the next three years, said a health ministry circular issued on Monday.

He has replaced Prof Pran Gopal Datta.

Dr Khan has been teaching pathology at the BSMMU for some two decades.

He is the secretary general of Peshajibi Samannay Parishad, a forum of the professionals, and is involved with various socio-political and academic bodies.
