Local Government Division Additional Secretary Mesbah Uddin has been elected general secretary and Public Security Division Additional Secretary Md Jahangir Alam treasurer of Officers’ Club, Dhaka for 2020-2021, says a press release.

Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam is the ex-officio chairman of the executive committee and general secretary is the administrative head of the club.

KM Mozammel Haque, Md Ansar Ali Khan and M Khalid Mahmud have been elected vice-chairmen while Mustakim Billah Faruqi, Prof Ferodusi Khan and Md Azharul Islam Khan were elected joint secretaries. Besides, 14 others were elected members.

The election of the club’s executive committee was held on January 16.

Out of 5,484 voters, 4,235 members cast their votes, the release added.
