Frutika Islamic Genius, a competition on Islamic knowledge, was held on the bank of Karatoya river in Bogura yesterday, said a press release.

Over 300 contestants participated in primary auditions at Shahid Titu Auditorium of the city.

Business conglomerate Akij Food and Beverage Limited initiated the flagship programme under its fruit drink brand.

School and madrasa students participated in the competition to test their knowledge on Quran and Islamic issues.

Best performers in the regional rounds will contest in the finals, scheduled to be held in the capital, organisers said.
