Today is the 13th death anniversary of Satya Ranjan Dasgupta, an anti-British movement activist and social worker.

He was the father of Ajoy Das Gupta, assistant editor of the daily Samakal.

His family members will hold memorial programmes in his home and at the cremation ground in Gaila village under Agailjhara upazila in the district.
