Chittagong University has decided to form a probe body to investigate into the allegations of admission test forgery by 60 MBBS students at BGC Trust Medical College, a private medical college affiliated with CU.

A meeting was held on the campus on Sunday evening, in presence of principals of nine such medical colleges.

VC Prof Iftekher Uddin Chowdhury chaired the meeting, where Prof Selim Muhammad Jahangir, dean of medicine faculty, was present.

The meeting was held after Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council issued  a letter to probe into the matter.

The allegations were raised against 12 students of 2013-14 session and 48 of 2014-15 session. They got admitted to the course allegedly through unfair means. The VC said the committee would be formed immediately.
