197 Thai nationals leave Dhaka on special flight

The Royal Thai Embassy in Dhaka repatriated 197 Thai nationals in Bangladesh by a Thai Lion Air special flight this morning. Flight number SL2225 departed Dhaka at 11:00am and is scheduled to land in Bangkok at 2:30pm.
The Thai ambassador and officers of the embassy were at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport to facilitate and see off the Thai nationals, according to a message from the embassy.
The Thai embassy arranged its first repatriation flight on April 17 and brought back 35 Thai nationals in Bangladesh to Thailand. Another special flight will be arranged to bring back more Thai nationals who have requested to return home.
The embassy thanked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh, immigration of Bangladesh and airport staff for their cooperation for the smooth departure of Thai nationals.
Meanwhile, a duty supervisor officer at HSIA said a special flight of US-Bangla Airlines landed at the Dhaka Airport at 2:27pm, carrying 165 Bangladeshi citizens including one infant from Chennai.
Another special flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines is scheduled to land today, carrying stranded Bangladeshis from Delhi, sources at Biman said.
Biman and US-Bangla Airlines so far brought back around 2700 Bangladeshis stranded in different cities in India. Most of them went to the neighboring country for medical purposes.
