Mohsin Ali laid to rest

Social welfare minister Syed Mohsin Ali was laid to rest with state honour next to his parents on the Shah Mustafa Rahmatullah shrine premises in Moulvibazar after Asr prayers yesterday.
The last namaz-e-janaza of Mohsin, who died in Singapore on Monday at the age of 67, was held on Moulvibazar Government High School playground. Earlier, his body was kept at the South Plaza of Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban where President Adul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid tributes by placing wreaths on his coffin. The Speaker, Deputy Speaker, leader of the opposition, ministers and lawmakers also paid tributes. Later, a namaz-e-janaza was held there and state honour was accorded to him.
His body was also kept at Central Shaheed Minar for people to show last respect.
Mohsin was admitted to Birdem Hospital in Dhaka with pneumonia on September 3 and he was admitted to a Singapore hospital on September 5.
