Microsoft Bangladesh makes 13 youths brand ambassadors

Microsoft Bangladesh has made 13 youths, who have been working as change makers in the society, as its brand ambassadors in order to inspire them to continue their initiatives and be successful in their lives.

Among them, Kumar Biswajit Barman and Keshob Roy provide free education to poor students in Kurigram and Nilphamari respectively. Biswajit prevented 668 child marriages in Kurigram in the last five years. The Daily Star ran a report on him in October last year.

The brand ambassadors include Jhara Moni Biswas of Mymensing, Shariar Jahan Ripa of Barisal, Fahima Khatun and Farjana Khan Likhon of Khulna and Jannatul Nayeem Priti of Rajshahi and Nazrul Islam Jhoni of Panchagar.

The distinction was bestowed at a programme at the office of Microsoft Bangladesh in the capital on Thursday.

Sonia Bashir Kabir, managing director of Microsoft Bangladesh, told The Daily Star that they have also set up three computer labs comprising five computers with internet facilities for three youths as part of an agreement between Microsoft Bangladesh and Young Bangla of Centre for Research and Information.
