Mamdudur Rahman Choudhury, a former Jatiya Party minister, died of cardiac arrest at a city hospital yesterday morning, aged 73.

He was the younger brother of State Minister for Public Administration Ismat Ara Sadique.

He left behind his wife, two sons and a daughter.

Mamdudur's first namaz-e-janaza was held at Uttara yesterday. He will be buried in a family graveyard at his hometown in Shatani Bari at Bagura today following his second namaz-e-janaza. It will be held on the Altafunnisa ground after the Zohr prayers.
