Dhaka raid: One of militants Monem Khan's grandson

One of the suspected militants killed during a joint raid at their hideout in the capital's Kalyanpur on Tuesday is grandson of former provincial governor Abdul Monem Khan.
Aqifuzzaman Khan from Gulshan was among the eight suspected militants who were identified based on their fingerprints with those on their National Identification Cards.

Also a North South University student, Aqifuzzaman is the grandson of Monem Khan, said Additional Commissioner Monirul Islam, of Dhaka Metropolitan Police.

Monem Khan was in-charge of governor of the then East Pakistan [now Bangladesh] during 1962-69.
According to Banglapedia, Abdul Monem Khan, while governor of East Pakistan, remained steadfastly loyal to Ayub regime. That made him extremely unpopular to the people of East Pakistan.
Abdul Monem Khan died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on 13 October 1971 being shot at by some freedom fighters during the liberation war of Bangladesh, it said.
