Today is the second death anniversary of Mahbubul Alam Tara, former whip, MP and former president of Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Krishok Dal.

He died in 2014 in Singapore while undergoing treatment.

Doa mahfils and memorial meetings will be held at Mahbubul Huq High School in Farhadnagar of Feni.

He led the mass movement as a Bhasani Nap activist in 1969 and took part in the 1971 Liberation War. He was a sponsor director of National Credit and Commerce Bank Ltd and established Feni Samity Dhaka and Eastland Insurance Company Ltd.
