The government on Sunday transferred 14 police officials to new posts, says a home ministry circular.

Barisal Metropolitan Police Commissioner Shaibal Kanti Chowdhury and DC Shoaib Ahmed have been transferred as deputy inspector general to the Police Headquarters and superintendent of police of Industrial Police respectively.

DIG Lutfar Rahman Mandal of Police Headquarters has been posted as the new BMP commissioner, says the circular.

Mohammad Nazibur Rahman, deputy inspector general at Police Headquarters, has been shifted to the Criminal Investigation Department in Dhaka.

Additional DIG Mohammad Ali Miah has been transferred from the Special Brach to Dhaka range office.

SP Habibur Rahman of Police Bureau of Investigation in Dhaka, DC Hasan Md Shawkat Ali of Khulna Metropolitan Police, Additional SP Shamsunnahar of Special Branch of Police in Dhaka, DC Munibur Rahman of Dhaka Metropolitan Police and DC AKM Awlad Hossain of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police have been transferred to BMP as DC, CMP as DC, special SP of CID in Dhaka, SP of APBn in Muktagachha of Mymensingh and SP of tourist police in Dhaka respectively.

Special Police Super Farhat Ahmed of SB in Dhaka has been transferred to Thakurgaon, while Thakurgaon SP Abdur Rahim Shah Chowdhury to SB as a special SP.

SP Mohammad Harun-ar-Rashid of APBn, Khulna was made commandant (SP) of Range Reserve Force in Barisal, replacing Commandant Muhammad Shahidullah Chowdhury who joined Khulna APBn.
