Unico Hospital organised a national level nursing workshop on patient Safety at the hospital premises at Green Road, Dhaka on May 4. 

The event brought together more than 200 healthcare professionals under the theme "Safe Care, Every Time, Everywhere by Everyone". 

The workshop featured interactive sessions on International Patient Safety Goal (IPSG), fall prevention, and medication safety, alongside video, case studies and hands-on IPSG stalls. 

Unico Hospital, a 250-bed facility, started its operations in January this year with the technical collaboration of Rajagiri Hospital from Kerala, India.

Outcome expected from this workshop include a Patient Safety Checklist, plan for regular nursing quality audits and a pledge to reduce preventable errors in patient care.

The workshop was conducted by the nursing team of Unico Hospital under the leadership of Gracy Abraham, Chief of the Nursing Service, and other trainers of Unico Hospital. 

In addition, Ardra Kurien, CEO of Unico Hospital, was present as the chief guest in the workshop along with Brig Gen (Retd) Dr Md Sharif Ahmed, Chief of Medical Services, as the special guest. 

Students from different parts of the country including Dhaka participated in this day-long workshop. At the end of the program, each participant was given a certificate.
