Dhaka Regency Hotel & Resort will welcome Pohela Boishakh—the Bengali New Year—with a daylong cultural celebration on April 14, 2025, blending tradition, music, art, and cuisine.

The event will commence in the morning with a Boishakhi-themed children's art competition, setting the tone for a day filled with family-friendly activities. Throughout the hotel, guests will find tributes to Bengali heritage, from colourful décor to interactive cultural experiences.

Programming for children includes traditional arts and crafts such as canvas and face painting, along with engaging features like bioscope displays and character appearances designed to entertain and inspire creativity among young attendees.

Live folk music performances—including Baul songs and flute sessions—will be featured throughout the day for adult guests, offering an immersive cultural experience.

The culinary highlight begins at noon with a Boishakhi lunch buffet, featuring a wide range of traditional Bengali dishes including Panta Ilish, Shutki Bhuna, Shorshe Bata Begun, and Chingri Malai Curry, alongside international selections and traditional sweets.

Additional attractions include henna art stations, a bangle corner, and themed photo booths, which will remain open until 9 p.m. A buffet dinner, offered at a special promotional rate, will also be available in the evening.
