Crown Cement PLC has provided Tk 1 crore financial contribution to Abahani Limited to take part in the construction of Sheikh Kamal Krira Complex (SKKC), a sports complex with modern facilities and infrastructures to develop budding talents and empower competitive sportsmen in the country. Mohammed Jahangir Alam, Chairman of Crown Cement, handed over a Tk 1 crore cheque to Salman F Rahman, Chairman of Abahani Limited, at a program held in Dhaka on Sunday last [5 March 2023]. Managing Director of Crown Cement Mollah Mohammad Majnu, Additional Managing Director Md. Mizanur Rahman Mollah and Chief Financial Officer Mohammad Ahasan Ullah, FCA were present at the function. The SKKC, located on 11 acres land in Dhanmondi, Dhaka's prime residential area, will have separate grounds for cricket and football along with indoor sports facilities, gymnasium, swimming pool, training center, food courts and other amenities. Crown Cement, the leading exporter of cement from Bangladesh for 20 years, provided the financial contribution as part of its corporate social responsibilities. The company has also been engaging in various sports and cultural events for a long time to uphold the country's heritage.
