City Bank partners with foodpanda for seamless payment by Amex cards

City Bank and foodpanda Bangladesh have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing the customer experience in digital payments.

Under this agreement, City Bank will be directly on boarded as a payment gateway (PGW) partner, offering American Express (Amex) cardholders a faster, smoother and more secure payment experience on foodpanda. As part of the partnership, exclusive deals and offers will also be rolled out for Amex users, creating greater value for customers.

Arup Haider, Deputy Managing Director & Head of Retail Banking of City Bank and Jamal Yusuff Zuberi, Director of Finance, foodpanda signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organisations at City Bank Center, Gulshan-1. 

Tauhidul Alam, Head of Cards, City Bank and Jamal Yusuff Zuberi, Director of Finance, Zahir Raihan, Head of Enterprise, Adnan Faruqi, Head of Ads & Partnerships of foodpanda along with other high officials of both organisations were also present at the signing ceremony.

Arup Haider said, "Our collaboration with foodpanda is a key step in driving a cashless, digitally connected economy. With food delivery platforms interacting with users frequently, this partnership is a natural fit for accelerating the adoption of seamless, card-based payments."
