BUET collaborates with Tsinghua University on architectural education

The Department of Architecture at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the School of Architecture at Tsinghua University, China.
The agreement sets out collaboration at the postgraduate level in Architecture, Heritage, Urban Design and Landscape Studies. It covers joint postgraduate programmes, faculty exchange, student exchange and collaborative research in areas including heritage preservation and sustainable urban design.
Representatives from BUET's Architecture Department said the partnership would create opportunities for Bangladeshi students and faculty to work with one of the world's leading institutions. Tsinghua University described the MoU as a reflection of a shared commitment to advancing knowledge, innovation and sustainable design.
The agreement is expected to strengthen architectural education and research links between Bangladesh and China.
