Berger Paints Bangladesh, in partnership with Japan's Chugoku Marine Paints Limited (CMP), has introduced fluoropolymer coatings to the Jamuna Rail Bridge, a first for Bangladesh's infrastructure sector.

The high-performance protective coatings ensure long-term durability and resistance against corrosion, moisture, and industrial chemicals.

The Jamuna Rail Bridge, the country's longest railway bridge, is a key component of Bangladesh's transportation expansion efforts, aimed at enhancing rail connectivity, reducing road congestion, and accelerating passenger and freight movement. Funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and constructed by Obayashi-TOA-JFE Joint Venture and IHI-SMCC Joint Venture, Japan, the project follows Japanese Road Association standards, ensuring world-class durability and protection against environmental degradation.

CMP, the exclusive coatings supplier, provided Fluorex fluoropolymer coatings, designed to deliver superior protection against rust, oxidation, and chemical exposure. The advanced Japanese technology, commonly used in high-end infrastructure projects worldwide, offers extended longevity compared to conventional coatings.
