US Commercial Service opens new office in Bangladesh

A new office of the US Commercial Service has been opened in Bangladesh today to facilitate trade services between the two countries.
Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi and Arun Venkataraman, assistant secretary of Commerce for Global Markets and Director General of the US and Foreign Commercial Service, inaugurated the new office at an event at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka.
Addressing the event, Venkataraman said the opening up of the commercial service office indicates the growing importance of Bangladesh as a trade partner of America.
Tipu Munshi said the Trade and Investment Cooperation Forum Agreement (TICFA) meeting between the two countries will be held very soon where the cotton and GSP issues will be discussed.
