United Power Generation & Distribution Company Ltd (UPGDCL) today reported increased earnings in the third quarter of this financial year 2024-25, thanks to increased production and higher electricity tariffs.

The private power company said its earnings per share soared 33 percent year on year to Tk 7.21 in the January-March quarter of this financial year.

Overall, United Power's earnings per share surged 46 percent year on year to  Tk 19.32 in nine months to the end of March, said the company in a disclosure at the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) today.

United Power gained 5.75 percent to Tk 119.60 on the DSE as of 2.14 pm
