Bangladesh and the United Arab Emirates will launch the "UAE-Bangladesh Joint Business Council" at Expo 2022, Dubai on Thursday.

The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) said this in a statement after a high-level business delegation left Dhaka for Dubai this afternoon as an entourage of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to attend the expo.

FBCCI President Md Jashim Uddin was leading the 66-member delegation, it said.

During the visit, the FBCCI and the Dubai International Chamber will sign a memorandum of understanding at the Leadership Pavilion at the expo ground on Tuesday.

The prime ministers of Bangladesh and the United Arab Emirates will present at the signing ceremony.

The UAE-Bangladesh Joint Business Council will be inaugurated on Thursday. A conference of the UAE-Bangladesh Economic Forum will also be held on the same day.
