Stock indices on the Dhaka Stock Exchange rose in early trading today, breaking a three-day losing run.

The DSEX, the benchmark index of the premier bourse, gained 15.33 points, or 0.31 percent, to stand at 4,933.24 as of  11:04 am.

The Shariah-based DSES index edged up  0.39 percent to 1,098.51, while the DS30, comprising blue-chip stocks, increased slightly by 0.02 percent to 1,823.37.

Turnover, a key indicator of market activity, stood at Tk 102.34 crore during the session.

Of the 395 issues traded, 239 advanced, 86 declined, and 47 remained unchanged.

Shares of Genex Infosys increased the highest, rising more than 9 percent, while Union Bank suffered the highest fall, dropping 6 percent.
