Stocks opened higher today, rebounding from a two-day losing streak as investors appeared to shrug off concerns over US-imposed trade tariffs.

The DSEX, the benchmark index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange, rose 14.81 points, or 0.28 percent, to 5,211.51 as of 10:52 am.

Market sentiment was positive, with 222 scrips advancing, 72 declining, and 86 remaining unchanged.

Turnover stood at Tk 117.91 crore during this period.

Among the major movers, AB Bank 1st Mutual Fund gained the most, surging 8 percent, while Pioneer Insurance Company dropped 5 percent.

The CSE All Share Price Index inched up 1.29 points, or 0.008 percent, to 14,562.8.
