Stocks fall for second consecutive day

Dhaka stocks fell for the second consecutive day amid a decline in turnover today.
The DSEX, the key index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), dropped 10.75 points, or 0.20 percent, to close at 5,192.44.
Among the traded securities, 103 advanced, 228 declined, and 67 remained unchanged.
Turnover decreased 28 percent to Tk 427.13 crore compared to the previous session.
The Shariah-based DSES index lost 0.19 percent to 1,157.92 points, while the blue-chip DS30 index went down 0.48 percent to 1,913.07.
Intech topped the gainers' list, rising 9 percent, while Midland Bank fell the most by 9 percent.
