Stocks down for third consecutive session

Indices on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) fell in the morning session today, marking the third straight day of decline.
The DSEX, the benchmark index of the premier bourse, dropped 11.66 points, or 0.24 percent, to 4,823.93 as of 10:56 am.
The Shariah-compliant DSES index declined 0.25 percent to 1,050.75, while the DS30, which represents blue-chip stocks, slipped 0.27 percent to 1,786.18.
Turnover, a key indicator of market activity, stood at Tk 61.19 crore during the session.
Of the 395 issues traded, 109 advanced, 175 declined, and 96 remained unchanged.
City Insurance posted the highest gain, rising more than 7 percent, while Jamuna Bank registered the biggest loss, dropping 14 percent.
