Microsoft Skills championship launched in Bangladesh

The Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Bangladesh Championship 2025 was launched yesterday, aiming to equip Bangladeshi students with globally recognised digital skills.
The competition, which is open to students aged 13 to 22, is part of the national "Festival of Youth 2025" and is organised by vTutor and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The preliminary University Round will be held from May 10 to 21 at six universities in Dhaka: the Institute of Business Administration, University of Dhaka (IBA-DU); Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP); East West University (EWU); American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB); Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB); and United International University (UIU). Participants will compete in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
All students will receive certificates of participation and top scorers will move on to the National Round on May 23, and the final Gala Round will take place on May 24.
The national champions will receive official Microsoft Certification and represent Bangladesh at the World Championship in Orlando, Florida, with all expenses paid.
The total national prize pool is Tk 20 lakh.
Winners at the global level will receive $8,000, $4,000, and $2,000 for first, second, and third places respectively.
Registration is open at www.vTutor.org, and free training will be provided to all registered participants.
